Darley Newman

Recognized in Forbes and leading media, Darley Newman is an entrepreneur, TV host, writer and producer. Through her multi-media production company, she has channeled her passions for travel and storytelling into successful multi-platform series and distinctive media brands. She is the creator, producer and host of Emmy Award winning series “Travels with Darley,” “Look Up with Darley,” and “Equitrekking” on PBS, Amazon Prime, Samsung and networks in over 85 nations.

Since 2016, "Travels with Darley" has redefined the travel genre, earning accolades for its innovative approach to showcasing off-the-beaten-path destinations and immersive cultural experiences. As part of the ongoing 72 half hour episodes of “Travels with Darley,” Darley launched “Revolutionary Road Trips” in 2024, a sub-series combining history and travel. It takes viewers to sites related to the American Revolution to share untold stories. No stranger to experiential travel and out-of-the-box adventures, Darley spent several years horseback riding around the world for the world’s first equestrian travel series, Equitrekking, which she grew into a global success. She penned a book published by Chronicle Books about her journey riding with the Bedouin in the Middle East, cowboys in South America and Canada and across the USA from California to Georgia. It won “Best Travel Book” from the North American Travel Journalist Association.

Most recently, Darley extended her reach with the "Travels with Darley" podcast launching on iHeart in 2023 and available on Spotify, Audible, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon. Her commitment to storytelling and audio excellence has garnered this podcast, already in season three, a TBEX Award nomination for Best Travel Podcast. Her engaging livestreams and events with esteemed partners such as Smithsonian Associates and leading museums draw sold-out crowds, further cementing her status as a trailblazer in the industry.

In addition to seven personal Daytime Emmy Award nominations, she’s received the North American Travel Journalist Award, the Inspiring Woman Award from Women in Philanthropy and Leadership, two Telly Awards and was inducted into the Taste Awards Hall of Fame. Having led production teams in over 30 nations and 26 states, she’s been charged by an elephant in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, gone free diving in South Korea, taken on the world’s highest commercial bungee in China and explored by mountain bike the WWI ‘red zone’ of northeast France.

With over 100 episodes spanning themes from historic sites and culinary delights to sustainability and cultural exploration, Darley invites audiences to embark on transformative journeys of discovery.
